Rabbi Rafael Zerajia was born in the year 1966 in Argentina.
After intense years of study and dedication to community labor, he received his Semikhah (Rabbinical Ordination) in Israel from prestigious rabbis at the beginning of the year 2003.
Rabbi Rafael pursued his studies at the Academy for Higher Rabbinical Studies Midrash Sephardi from the Shehebar Sephardic Center, and he joined a special program offered by Amiel - Ner Le'Elef institutes in view of receiving post-graduate instruction.
He has recently integrated the Rabbinical Board from the International Sephardic Leadership Council and the Immigrant Absorption Committee from the Yshuv Kochav Yaakov in Jerusalem. Currently, he is performing his functions within zonal rabbis from the Kochav Yaakov (at the Bet HaKneset Ahavat Zion) and delivering conferences to different study groups under special programs for Spanish speaking public. Besides, he is a member of the Kupat Ha'Ir Foundation; for the distribution of charity and assistance funds.
